Log Book Servicing FAQs
Q: Can I get my log book service done at a local mechanic instead of the dealership?
A: Yes! As long as the service is carried out by a licensed mechanic following the manufacturer’s specifications, your warranty will remain valid. We offer full log book servicing here in Crows Nest that meets all warranty requirements.
Q: How often should I book a log book service?
A: Typically every 10,000km or 6 months—whichever comes first. Check your vehicle’s log book for exact intervals, or ask us to help interpret it for you.
Q: What’s included in a log book service?
A: A log book service includes checks and maintenance tasks recommended by your car’s manufacturer, such as oil and filter changes, safety inspections, and system diagnostics. We follow your car’s schedule exactly.
Mechanical Repairs FAQs
Q: Can you diagnose why my car is making a strange noise?
A: Absolutely. Bring your vehicle in and our technicians will run a full diagnostic to identify the cause of any unusual sounds or performance issues.
Q: Do I need to book an appointment for repairs?
A: We recommend booking ahead to ensure availability, but we also accept walk-ins when possible. Give us a call to check our current schedule.
Q: What types of repairs do you offer?
A: We offer a full range of mechanical repairs, including engine diagnostics, cooling system fixes, battery replacements, belts and hoses, exhausts, and more. We service all makes and models.
Registration Inspection FAQs
Q: Can I renew my rego immediately after the inspection?
A: Yes. As an authorised inspection station, we submit your pink slip electronically so you can renew your registration online the same day.
Q: How long does a pink slip inspection take
A: Most inspections take around 30–45 minutes. If everything is in good shape, we’ll submit your report electronically to Transport for NSW right away.
Q: What happens if my car doesn’t pass the inspection?
A: We’ll provide a detailed report and a clear quote for any necessary repairs. Once repairs are completed, we can re-inspect the vehicle and finalise your pink slip.
Q: What is a pink slip?
A: A pink slip is an eSafety inspection report required in NSW for vehicles over five years old. It confirms your car is roadworthy and ready for registration renewal.
